Once upon a time the way to plant a church was to move into a community and knock on doors, go to public places and preach the gospel and do whatever you can to reach the unchurched community. Now most church planters find a meeting place, start services and invite a bunch of Christians to come.
When Justice Coleman planted Freedom Church it was his desire to build a church on leading people to Christ and not on recruiting people from other churches. He accomplished this with a two pronged approach. First was serving and meeting people in the community through a ministry called Laundry Love and a Bible study bill as a no Christians allowed Bible study. The first Sunday they met there were over 100 people with the majority being new Christians.
Below is a video of Justice Coleman speaking about his church plant at the Northwest District conference of the Foursquare. Below that is a short video of him explaining why church planting needs to be about evangelism.
